The marriage record was based on somebody telli ng the bureaucrat that Rosa Arteca's first husband died some years ago a nd no death record is available, so the year was estimated and the surn ame Poto was inadvertently given instead of Grieco. When Rosa Arteca di ed in 1864, the name of her first husband was given. This explains that d eath record (Castelcivita 1864 number 39) saying she is the widow of Ge nnaro Grieco and that her parents are Giuseppe Arteca and Carmina Stell avate Vespa. There would not be two different women named Rosa Arteca w ith the same parents at the same time.
